Making Democracy Work Again

The use of social media to distribute disinformation has opened up vast social divisions and brought democracy to its knees. What has happened in Taiwan since the Sunflower Student Movement is an attempt at reinventing democracy itself.

Using the internet to pull people together rather than split them apart. Allowing citizens to not only vote on questions posed by the government, but also to control what questions are asked in the first place. Questions based on attitudes held in common across society, rather than its divisions.
