Lest We Forget

Today, I had the honor of laying a Royal Commonwealth Society wreath at Canada's National Remembrance Day Ceremony, to recognize those that have served and currently serve to protect our freedom. A wreath was also laid in remembrance of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II for her military service in World War II, at the age of 19.

It was heart warming to see the large crowd, spontaneously applaud the arrival of the Silver Cross Mother and the veterans, and particularly stirring to hear Rabbi Sher's, "Recital of the Benediction".

An interesting anecdote came from striking up a conversation with another wreath bearer, who was laying a wreath in remembrance of the Latin American veterans from Mexico to Guatemala that came to Canada to fight with us in the name of freedom during World War 1 and 2.

LEST WE FORGET.
