Registration Payment for the National Student Commonwealth Forum - a week-long leadership program for Canadian Youth
NATIONAL STUDENT COMMONWEALTH FORUM
Traveling to Ottawa for a week is pretty awesome already, but the National Student Commonwealth Forum (NSCF) is so much more than that! The NSCF gives you a chance to meet over 100 other like-minded youth from across the country, participate in important international discussion, have a chance to meet important political figures such as Members of Parliament and High Commissioners, explore Canada's role in the Commonwealth and participate in a model Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) hosted by Global Affairs Canada.
Billet with a local family (Free).
For a more immersive experience of the culture of the National Capital Region, delegates have the option of requesting to stay with a local billet family, although availability is limited and will be assigned based upon family need. Local billeters must meet strict criteria including reference checks and/or a police record check.
Event-related hotels ($440 for the week).
Event-related hotels will be monitored at all times by at least two Planning Team members (one male, one female) when there are no official Forum events scheduled. The same-sex double rooms will be available on a first come first serve basis for an additional cost to the delegate of $440 for the week.
If you have received written notification of acceptance, your registration is not complete unless your Fees are paid within 3 weeks of receiving email notification of acceptance into the program. You can make the payment either online using PayPal/major credit card or by cheque made out to the “Royal Commonwealth Society, Ottawa” mailed to The Royal Commonwealth Society, Ottawa, P.O. Box 8023 Station T, Ottawa, ON K1G 3H6. We cannot accept cash.
What is the cost of the program?
In Town student who can billet an Out of Town student(s): $120
In Town student who does not host another student: $220
Out of Town student staying with a billetor: $330
In town student staying at event hotel $660
Out of Town student staying at event hotel $770
International student staying at event hotel $1,200
Once payment has been received, fees can be transferred to another delegate until April 1st.
No refunds or transfers can be made after April 1st.
