The recent Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Malta, strongly reinforced the principles and values of The Commonwealth Charter. The theme of the 2015 summit was “The Commonwealth – Adding Global Value”. In particular, this year’s CHOGM emphasized key areas, including: strengthening democracy and the rule of law; creating economic opportunity; empowering young leaders; championing small states; promoting inclusive development; achieving human rights for all; and, promoting public service reform.
