Countess of Wessex plants a tree for the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy

The Countess of Wessex showed off her gardening skills as she planted a tree in the grounds of Buckingham Palace live on This Morning.

The glamorous royal, 53, who was wearing a black and white printed dress, was joined by presenter Eamonn Holmes and got her hands dirty, joking she was 'inappropriately dressed'.

Asked by the host if she had any tips when it comes to gardening, Sophie joked: 'Yes there is, first of all you have to be completely inappropriately dressed.
