The Royal Commonwealth Society of Ottawa would like to offer our best wishes to Her Majesty The Queen on the occasion of her 95th birthday. We celebrate her life and reign: from a young girl who did not expect to be Queen, to an iconic and celebrated figure who has ruled for more than 60 years.
You have been the figurehead and source of pride for the UK and the Commonwealth during times of enormous social change. Your sense of duty and your devotion to a life of service to the Commonwealth inspires us all. You are our ‘strength and stay’ and must be enormously proud of what the Commonwealth has achieved and stands for today.
We would also like to express our condolences for the loss of your husband His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He will be remembered for his patronage of many charities in Canada and his Duke of Edinburgh's International Awards which motivated over 500,000 young people from Canada and 10 million youth in over 130 countries to undertake a variety of voluntary and challenging activities.
