Queen and Royal Family mark Armistice Day by attending remembrance services at home and overseas

The Queen and other members of the Royal Family are marking Armistice Day by celebrating the centenaries of women's service in the regular Armed Forces.

This year the Royal Festival of Remembrance is being held at the Royal Albert Hall where the Battle of Passchendaele, the creation of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the 100th birthday of forces' sweetheart, Dame Vera Lynn, will be remembered.

It will also commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of El Alamein and the creation of the RAF Regiment. Full Story
