Call for Applications: Director of Communications - Royal Commonwealth Society of Ottawa


The Royal Commonwealth Society of Ottawa (RCS Ottawa) is currently looking for an Ottawa-based volunteer for the position of Director of Communications (operational role).

This individual will be responsible for redesigning and managing the RCS Ottawa website (https://www.rcs-ottawa.ca), curating and updating content for all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), and designing and drafting regular newsletters to RCS Ottawa members. This individual will work closely with the RCS President and Vice-Presidents to develop online content related to Commonwealth issues and events, such as the National Student Commonwealth Forum.

Applicants should have demonstrated experience in web design (Ex: WordPress, WIX, etc.), social media campaign management (Ex: Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.), and online marketing/communications (Ex: eNewsletters, Event Registration). The successful applicant will be responsible for redesigning and updating RCS Ottawa's online platforms before transitioning to the volunteer role of Director of Communications (Approx. 3-5 hours/week).
