The LOUD MINORITY's unbalanced influence, destabilizes Democracy

In today's global village with the bombardment of social media, sound bites, and video clips it seems like everyone has a voice and what is voiced is often negativity. People gravitate to the platform that reflect their interests/perspective.


As a result, people become polarized as they don't get a balanced perspective and their understanding of an issue becomes superficial, emotional and not based upon facts. Special interest money, fuels the voice of descent. Liars use repetition to create the "illusion of truth", and ultimately, misinformation that is not corrected destabilizes democracy.


Canada's vaccination rate stands at 80%, yet our capitol has been occupied for over a week by an ongoing Truck Convoy protest, which includes American protestors, flags, and funding. Read this Ottawa Citizen article on the americanization of Canada.
